We leave Rotorua heading South on SH5, to our first stop at the world famous Wai o Tapu Wonderland, with its amazing Champagne Pool , Devil’s Bath and NZ’s largest Mud Lake ,followed by viewing the eruption of the Lady Knox Geyser.. From here we proceed to the Waimangu Thermal Valley, the world’s newest geothermal system , created by the 1886 Mt. Tararewa eruption..View the Frying Pan Lake, try out the Echo Crater, climb to the mysterious Inferno Crate and enjoy the descent to Lake Rotomahana, where you have the option of taking a Lake Cruise passing over the lost Pink and White Terraces.
Then returning to Rotorua we take in the magnificent Redwood Forest, the Blue and Green Lakes, Lake and Mount Tarawera Lookouts and a guided stroll through the Buried Village. Highly recommended with many stories and legends.

Te Puia thermal reserve, viewing bubbling mud pools, view the mighty Pohutu and Priince of Wales Geysers followed by an insight into Maori Culture at the Carving and Weaving centre.This is followed by a visit to Rainbow Springs where we experience exquisite bush walks, bird aviary and natural springs abundant with Trout of all sizes and even view a live Kiwi. Finally a visit to the world famous Agrodome Sheep and Dog show giving one an insight to New Zealand farm life.
